The best thing to do right now is to keep that friendship strong. When guys aren’t ready for a relationship, they usually aren’t ready for any “emotional” ideas. So I would just focus on being there for him whenever he needs you, and being the best friend you can be at the moment. I think when he does become ready for a relationship, that you should let him know then.
